Despite what you may think, there are several books for toddlers (e.g. board books) which show children being breastfed rather than bottlefed.  Share your favourites with us?  One example is here; Mary Olsen's "I'm made of Mama's Milk".
See also the Topsy & Tim book, about a new Baby.
Also the lovely Morag books for older children. Australian Breastfeeding Association - "What kids (don't) see in their picture books. And why it matters."

But most of these suggestions are for Mum.
The Food of Love - by Kate Evans, a guidebook which has elements of the comic book! Read an interview with Kate Evans here. From which, a great quote about Lactation Consultants:
"There are women out there who have retained or rediscovered all the information we need to breastfeed successfully. But it’s really difficult for that information to get to new mothers who need it."

Saggy Boobs & other breastfeeding myths, by Valerie Finigan, a simple myth-buster.

The new book by Ann Sinnott, "Breastfeeding Older Children" - promises to surprise, shock, gladden and infuriate.
You can view extracts of the book here on her Facebook group.

The Politics of Breastfeeding, by Gabrielle Palmer. A book which has been a "key text" for many years.  Latest edition published 2009.

Guidebook "Womanly Art of Breastfeeding" by the La Leche League International, LLL is a key text which is now in the 8th edition.

Ina May Gaskin (interviewed here about midwifery, in 1982) wrote a "Guide to Breastfeeding".

Mohrbacher's book "Breastfeeding Made Simple: Seven Natural Laws for Nursing Mothers" is due out soon in a new edition...

ON THE OTHER HAND - BOOKS TO AVOID
Parts of them may well be sound, but other parts of these books have been defined by several people as having the potential to harm your breastfeeding relationship. Be wary of any book which is as prescriptive as these.  Remember Coach Linda Smith's rules!

Look carefully at any books on Parenting with an image of a bottle on the front... Why choose that image, rather than any of hundreds of others?

The Contented Little Baby Book - by Gina Ford (thoughts against here, and here)
"I was told by every single midwife I saw (double figures) to throw the book away - they didn't want it given to charity as it would cause more misery to babies. My health visitors asked me to throw it away, commenting on the endless problems it causes."

Babywise and Preparation for Parenting (also known as Let the Children Come: Along the Infant Way) - by G. & A. Ezzo (more info here, and here).

The New Basics : A-to-Z Baby & Child Care for the Modern Parent - by Michel Cohen

Secrets of the Baby Whisperer - by Hogg & Blau (see review on KellyMom).

The "What to Expect" Series - by Arlene Eisenberg (see review on KellyMom).
